"LAST CALL" PERFORMANCE CONFIRMED

(New York, NY) - Warnings/Promises, the fifth album from beloved Scottish rockers Idlewild, will be released in the U.S. today, September 6^th.  New dates have been added to the band's U.S. tour, which also kicks off today.   A full list of updated tour dates is below.

Idlewild is also confirmed to perform lead single "Love Steals Us From Loneliness" on NBC-TV's Last Call with Carson Daly in October.

Warnings/Promises is the band's first album to be written with a new lineup featuring bassist Gavin Fox and longtime touring guitarist Allan Stewart, and its songs, although clearly coming from Idlewild, have become broader, richer and more ambitious.

From the album's first notes, the band announces its new sound with a thick crunch of melancholic harmonies and folk melody spun over deeply intertwined guitars.  What follows mixes arty blare, bittersweet pop and the raw embers of Americana - sometimes within a single song.
