What Took So Long?
A Day of Rock & Ink

It seems like a no-brainer, doesn't it? Get a bunch of great rock bands and a load of the best tattoo artists and stick them out on the road together - why didn't anyone come up with it before? It's an idea whose time has come.

Think about it; most of the bands have tattoos. It's strange for a rock star to not have a tattoo. Most of the tattoo artists like rock, we're guessing. So take it to the people and give 'em what they want! Slayer, Slipknot, (hed) p.e.,


Sepultura and lots more. The only down side is that we caught them for the next-to-last day of the show, in San  Bernardino, CA, which felt like it was on the sun. Sunburns were as common as tattoos on this day.  There's nothing funnier than watching dudes that are drunk and high suffering from heat exhaustion.

Everybody's best friend was the water vendor. Those are water bottles flying over the crowd in the photo above.
