Welcome to Class - Primer 55's
Introduction To Mayhem

Imagine this: Two attractive and very buxom ladies doing their best to slap the living daylights out of each other. Nearby, naked clowns ride about on a unicycle, toting a fire hose. Also close at hand are hotties with skulls for heads. If this sounds like an odd sequence that might only be seen with the assistance of some major hallucinogenic action, it isn't. It's the cover art to Primer 55's release Introduction To Mayhem (Island). If you consider a boot to the head as a form of introduction, then you're in the right place.

Mayhem 101 is the class, and Primer 55 will serve as your instructors. Their intense, grinding aggro-rock will quickly cull the weak from the herd and give the die-hards a run for their money, too. This is the stuff that gets the mosh pits moving like a hurricane - tunes like "Something Wicked This Way Comes" and "Tripinthehead" will have the dead rising up with their fists in the air, ready to mosh.

And where does all this lyrical fire and musical ferocity come from? "There is a lot of weird shit in this world to check out, man," says guitarist Bobby Burns, who also co-produced Introduction To Mayhem. You want weird shit? Just check out the album cover.

While you can catch Primer 55 out on tour now with Ozzfest, we got Bobby to stop for a few minutes and give us a free lesson on mayhem…
