The first time we saw Papa Roach live, we were at LA's House of Blues working with another band, and P-Roach was the opening act. They had us wondering who they were, these guys who had their stage act down, played a stunningly tight set, and had a front man who was on another planet, filled with energy and undeniable charisma. We had never heard these guys before, but we knew we would be hearing from them again. We were right. Their brand of syncopated heavy funk-metal has garnered them attention from sources far and wide - they're on the cover of guitar magazines and showing up all over TRL, blasting out some of the teen pop in the process. It's no easy task, but they've grown in popularity so much, no one is safe. It wasn't long before we knew we had to sit down with these boys and find out what the whole P-Roach movement was all about. Here's what we discovered. |
