Q: Where does your inspiration come from?
Cyrus: We’re inspired by everything we come into contact with: people, relationships…

Ian: …chicks…

Cyrus: …music, everyday life experiences, it’s just not one thing. We are just like everyone else. If something happens to me today, it’s going to affect my music. Everyone’s music! [Laughing]

Q: If you could meet anyone, who would it be?
Steve: Buddy Holly, or Britney Spears if she was naked! Honesty is the best policy, my momma always told me that

Ian: I’d like to meet the singer of Silverchair

Steve: Chad would like to meet The Rock, Jordan wants to meet Ron Jeremy!

Q: What makes a show a good show?
Ian: Umm, I don’t know, every show is good. For me it’s a backstage bathroom. That’s a good show. If you don’t have one that you’ll go on the people in the crowd. Asking you to sign CDs while in the can…

Cyrus: So long as one person is singing along. I feed off of the crowd. As long as one person is feeling it, it’s a good show for me.

Ian: I feed of the food backstage. For Chad it actually means a lot of young guys in the front row!

Jordan: Not going to the bathroom in my pants.

Ian: He has happy accidents.

Q: Why did you choose the name New Found Glory?
Jordan: The reason why we picked the name…me and Steve used to work at Red Lobster, in the kitchen, we just starting writing names down and came up with them.

Q: Isn’t Red Lobster gross?
Jordan: What?!?

Ian: Every single person in the world has eaten food with body fluids and dirt on them. Everywhere. Each of us has had an incident where someone messed with the food and we ate it. I am sure we ate some spit in our time. Or other stuff. It’s worse for guys cause we don’t know what the "other stuff" tastes like. So if we eat it we’re screwed.

Q: What happens to a band when they get popular?  Why do fans give up on the band?
Cyrus: I don’t think it’s fair for them to give up on a band when they get popular. We have had this happen actually. It’s like, the kids want to keep the band to themselves. If they were one of the first 100 fans of a band, they’re always going to want to be part of that 100 people and hold on to that band.

Chad: You should like a band for the music. Regardless of if they are popular or not. Music is music. You can’t stop liking a band just cause they’re popular. I used to do that when I was little though. Like when Green Day got popular, I still liked them but it made me mad.

Q: What’s your favorite song?
Chad: Ian went to the bathroom…

Cyrus: "Boy Crazy," cause that’s what I am.

Chad: He likes boys. My song is "Dressed To Kill," number 2, second track, it’s the one I’m the most proud of on the record.

Q: Are you working on your next album and when is it due out?
Steve: We have 20 new songs that are unfinished but that we are working on. We’ll probably start recording sometime in early winter, maybe November.

Cyrus: It won’t be out until next year.

Steve: It should be out by next summer [2002].

Q: Main influences as a kid?
Jordan: My influence is probably Green Day.

Chad: Green Day.

Cyrus: The Beatles.

Chad: No, Silverchair!

Steve: Billy Joel rules!

Chad: Indiana Jones.

Q: What are your tour plans?
Cyrus: We are on tour with Blink right after the Warped Tour, for about ten weeks hitting every city in the US.

Q: Are you guys excited about the tour?
Jordan: It’s going to be awesome.

Chad: They’re fun to be with.
