| ADEMA AND EARSHOT ADDED TO "SnoCore ROCK"
TOUR LINEUP 25,000 SnoCore CD Samplers as Giveaways on All Dates Los Angeles, CA -- January 24, 2002 -- ARTISTdirect (Nasdaq: ARTD) announces that Adema and Earshot have been added to the line-up of the SnoCore Rock tour, set to kick off on February 15 in Providence, RI. Earshot will open the show on all dates, while Adema will join up on March 1 in New York and play to the close of the tour, nightly flip-flopping their place on the bill with Fenix-TX. SnoCore Rock's lineup also features headliners Grammy-nominated Alien Ant Farm along with Glassjaw. For the first time in its seven-year history, this year's SnoCore Rock will offer a free sampler CD on all of the tour stops. Twenty-five thousand CDs will be handed out at the concerts' merch booths featuring cuts from new artists such as Custom, Mad At Gravity, Dilated Peoples, OTEP, Cyclefly, Unwritten Law, Greenwheel, Third Strike, Finch, The Movie Life. The Starting Line and Diecast. Adema comprises lead singer Mark "Marky" Chavez, guitarist Mike Ransom, bassist Dave DeRoo, guitarist Tim Fluckey, and drummer Kris Kohls. The "Adema" album, which debuted in the top 30 on the Billboard 200 album chart last August, was produced in Los Angeles by Tobias "Tobi" Miller (guitarist in the Wallflowers) and Bill Appleberry. "The Way You Like It," the second single from Adema's self-titled debut album, is bulleting up the Active Rock, Modern Rock, and Mainstream Rock charts, bolstered by a video from director Gregory Dark. Earshot's debut album, "Letting Go," will be released on Warner Bros. Records in May, with their first single, "Get Away," going to radio in March. Though the members of Earshot currently call Los Angeles home, each member's musical upbringing began from as far away as Austria and France, and as close to America's heartland as Kansas and Ohio. Earshot's music is as equally diverse as their bloodlines. "Headstrong," "Not Afraid" and "Get Away" set a powerful and relentless course for the musical drama that is Letting Go. Not content to sit back on the promise of three great songs, Earshot continues to deliver with an explosive energy throughout the rest of the album. In addition, it is announced that Local H will play the first three dates of SnoCore Rock -- February 15, 16 and 17, in Providence, Boston, and Philadelphia. The ARTISTdirect SnoCore festival is the original winter lifestyle tour that features live music concert performances from some of the most credible artists today. Past SnoCore lineups have included Gold and Platinum artists such as Sublime, Primus, Blink-182, Fear Factory, The Pharcyde, Everclear, System of a Down, Kittie, and Powerman 5000.
