Jesca Hoop, Kismet, Columbia Records – This sort of fell out of the skies on us. Released in late ’07, we (admittedly) missed this when is first came through. Finally rising to the top of the pile, we’re glad we finally made Ms. Hoop’s acquaintance. Her beautiful, multi-faceted voice is immediately pleasing, but has a different quality than the norm.
